Almost two months ago Delfast first announced the start of the designing and developing process of the Trike, the three-wheeled electric bike, within the grant, received from the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.

Today the electric bikes brand shares technical details on the upcoming model. According to Delfast engineer, Serhii Goncharov, the Trike has the completed electric frame with 750W rear motor and 48V 40ah lithium battery.

The Trike will have wellgo pedals, prowheel crank and the headlights. It might be useful to know that the electric vehicle is completely waterproof, which makes it easy to maintain and wash the e-tricycle.

Above is the image of the e-bike’s frame that has already been tested in the CAD system. This is not the 3D model, but rather the real construction of the future Trike with the materials and technologies being indicated. “We carry out simulations based on this frame, try different loads, see the total weight of the Trike and mount other elements of the e-bike on the frame using the program,” says Goncharov. The team of engineers are at the construction stage at the moment.

Great news is that the Trike will be able to transport goods up to 120 km or 75 miles on a single charge, which makes this model of e-bike the great transportation solution for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. And the very reason Delfast develops the Trike is to help small businesses with the transportation of their goods to the far localities having difficulties with being accessed by cars.

Moreover, the Trike can store up to 300 kg or 660 lbs. Almost any type of cargo can be transferred with the help of the e-tricycle. Even though a person might not need to ride over the speed limit at off-road localities, the Trike can reach the speed of 40 km/hr or 25 mph.
